The Scriptures

The Bible—both the Old and New Testament—is God’s written revelation to man. It is therefore inspired by God, inerrant and infallible in the original writings, and the supreme and final authority for man (1 Thessalonians 2:13; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:19-21).

God: Father, Son,
and Holy Spirit

There is one living and true God (Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 45:5-7; 1 Corinthians 8:4) who exists eternally in three Persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14).

Jesus Christ is God the Son, God incarnate (John 1:1, 14). He was begotten by God (John 3:16), conceived by the Holy Spirit, and born to the virgin Mary (Matthew 1:18, 23-25; Luke 1:26-35). He was crucified, died, and buried. On the third day He rose again (Luke 24:36-43; John 20:1-9). After a period of ministry, He ascended into Heaven (Acts 1:9) and reigns there now as High Priest and Advocate for those who belong to Him (Romans 8:34; Hebrews 8:1-2).

The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity. He convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8). He brings life to and indwells the believer (Ephesians 1:13-14) and empowers the proclamation of the Gospel (Acts 4:8, 31).

Man

Mankind was created in the image and likeness of God (Genesis 1:26-27). The first man, Adam, sinned (Genesis 3), thereby incurring physical and spiritual death for all mankind. As a result, all human beings are born with a sinful nature (Romans 3:10-11; 5:12).

Salvation

The Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures as an atoning, substitutionary sacrifice (Romans 5:8; 1 Peter 2:24). All who believe in Him are justified on the basis of His shed blood, not on merit or works (Romans 3:24-25; Ephesians 2:8-10).

All who receive the Lord Jesus Christ by faith are born again by the Holy Spirit (John 3:5-8, 16; 1 Corinthians 15:3-5; Acts 16:31; Romans 10:9), thereby becoming children of God and heirs of eternal life (Romans 8:16-17).

Salvation is wholly of God by grace on the basis of the redemption of Jesus Christ, the merit of His shed blood, and not on the basis of human merit or works (John 1:12; Ephesians 1:7; 2:8-10; 1 Peter 1:18-19). All the redeemed, once saved, are kept by God’s power and are thus secure in Christ forever (John 5:24; 6:37-40; 10:27-30; Romans 5:9-10; 8:1, 31-39; 1 Corinthians 1:4-8; Ephesians 4:30; Hebrews 7:25; 13:5; 1 Peter 1:5; Jude 24).

The Church

The Lord Jesus Christ is Head of His Church (Ephesians 1:22; Colossians 1:18). All who receive Christ by faith in Jesus Christ immediately become part of one united spiritual Body, the Church (1 Corinthians 12:12-13).

The ordinances of the Church were instituted by Christ and are baptism (Acts 2:38, 19:5, 22:16) and the Lord’s table (Luke 22:14-20; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26).

Last Things

This ministry eagerly awaits the promised blessed hope (Titus 2:13), namely, the personal, visible, imminent, glorious return of the Lord Jesus Christ.

This ministry affirms the bodily resurrection of all men, the saved to eternal life (John 6:39; Romans 8:10-11, 19-23; 2 Corinthians 4:14), and the unsaved to judgment and everlasting punishment (Daniel 12:2; John 5:29; Revelation 20:13-15).
