Those who identify with Christ are the branches, but according to Jesus, there are two types of branches: those that are alive and bearing fruit and those that are dead and fruitless.  What kind of branch are you?

In John 14, Jesus speaks to His disciples on the eve of His death. With Judas gone, Jesus seeks to console His remaining disciples as they come to understand that He is leaving them. 

Those who believe upon Christ will not experience this second death; rather, they will be raised to eternal life (1 Corinthians 15).

The true shepherd cares for His sheep, even to the point of death.

Jesus is not a revolving door. All that the Father gives to Him will come to Him (John 6:37) and no one can snatch Christ’s people out of His hand (John 10:28-30).
