Those who identify with Christ are the branches, but according to Jesus, there are two types of branches: those that are alive and bearing fruit and those that are dead and fruitless. What kind of branch are you?
In John 14, Jesus speaks to His disciples on the eve of His death. With Judas gone, Jesus seeks to console His remaining disciples as they come to understand that He is leaving them.
When Christ died, the curtain of the temple that separated man and God was torn from top to bottom. This was God, and the significance of this act remains as important today as it was 2000 years ago.
Those who believe upon Christ will not experience this second death; rather, they will be raised to eternal life (1 Corinthians 15).
Jesus is not a revolving door. All that the Father gives to Him will come to Him (John 6:37) and no one can snatch Christ’s people out of His hand (John 10:28-30).
The Living Bread nourishes; His spotless blood cleanses us from sin and saves us from the wrath of God.
Jesus Christ is eternal; He has always existed. His words in John 8:58 demonstrate this clearly as He identifies Himself as the great I AM of the Old Testament.

God takes his elect out of the house of bondage, beats off the chains and fetters of sin, and brings them into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
We delight when life brings ease, comfort, and good news, and we thank God for restful times of joy. Yet, Scripture promises that our earthly lives may not always be defined by favorable circumstances. The good news for the Christian, however, is that she can still have unshakeable joy, even in times of trial.
The steadfast joy of a child of God is a distinguishing mark that sets believers apart from the unbelieving world. Do you have unshakeable joy?
God is holy and demands holiness (1 Peter 1:13-16). Jesus Christ is the only One through whom man may obtain peace with God. This infant who, upon His birth, was the Prince of Peace, would one day die as the perfect, atoning sacrifice for those who are His.
Truly this is indeed a divine child. Truly He alone is the Father of eternity.
